These two wildly different one-act plays – with some surprising thematic intersections – were written by two members of the Brussels Anglophone theatrical community. They were selected in a blind competition from among a large number of innovative entries. It was a tough call, but after thoughtful consideration the selection committee felt strongly that these two plays deserved the spotlight.
![]() All Sales Final, written by Shannon Damery (directed by Karen El Haddad), takes us to a strange yet eerily familiar place, where “checking out” really does mean “checking out.”
![]() The Last Martinis, written by Méabh Maguire (directed by Nastassia Maes), tells the story of an unlikely friendship that emerges from the demise of a largely forgotten, but once glamorous piece of Brussels history.
