November 15-19, 2022
at the Warehouse Studio Theatre
Almost, Maine by John Cariani is about romance and relationships - and the stumbles, the funny moments of joy, and the bitter-sweet turning points along love's journey. Set in the snow-covered, fictional town of Almost in the U.S. state of Maine, the play consists of nine independent vignettes bound together by the magic of the northern lights.
Almost, Maine was the ATC's feature for its second edition of Studio Nights, a format conceived as a training ground for new theater enthusiasts. The nine scenes, directed by three new directors (three scenes each), involved 19 actors, in a range of ages - some experienced, but many making their theatrical debut.
Studio Nights is more than just a night at the theatre -- it's a night out. The audience is encouraged to come for the play, of course, but also for a chance to enjoy an array of homemade American-style treats and an extended bar menu before and after the show, as well as during a slightly extended interval.
