Le Petit Théâtre Mercelis
Ixelles

directed by Glenn Vaughan

This third play of the ATC's 50th anniversary year was staged exactly 50 years after the founders opened our first season with it in October 1969.

The
run was fully sold out.

Edward Albee's cult classic invites us for a night cap with two couples in a small East Coast American university town. After a faculty party, Martha and George welcome newcomers Nick and Honey into their home, drawing the unwitting younger couple into their bitter and frustrated relationship.

Darkly comic right from the start, it only gets darker. David Benedict, writing for Variety, said this play "makes the complete works of Strindberg look like Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm."
